“On April 18, Army Veteran and cherished friend, Rick Nixon, who served our country honorably, lost the war he had been fighting with PTSD, adding his name to the somber roll call of 22 U.S. military veterans who die by suicide every day.

I’m hopeful our entire Combat Veterans To Careers family and friends will close ranks around his family with an outpouring of love, comfort and support. PTSD – the often-invisible wounds of war – has taken Rick and our other brothers and sisters in arms too soon. Personally, and as an organization, I’m leading a charge to end the stigma surrounding Post Traumatic Stress and Traumatic Brain Injury, to save those like Rick who are battling these demons.

Rick Nixon and many others that have sacrificed in service to our country struggle with the Invisible Wounds of War. You are NOT alone.29383322_15245946060_r

In lieu of flowers please contribute to Collin Nixon’s college fund

Rick’s son Collin is in 7th grade at The Villages Charter School in The Villages, Florida. Collin Nixon is in the Boy Scouts and is very active in the community. Please help us help the son of a Veteran that gave all. Thank you for your support to the Nixon family.” –David Booth, CEO, Combat Veterans to Careers
